Having been qualified for several years, I offer a personalized and professional copy-editing and proofreading service to academic students, post-graduate researchers, and lecturers. I edit and proofread journal articles, theses, dissertations, and essays. I also edit applications for students hoping to study overseas. Particular areas of interest and expertise include: economic sciences, history, modern languages, political sciences, nursing, and sociology.

I am a fluent French speaker. I hold a BA (Hons) French Studies and a Level C1 Advanced French Diploma (DALF). I am experienced at teaching GCSE French online to Year 10 and Year 11 secondary school students (Levels A1-B1 of the European Language Framework). However, I have also tutored French online to Key Stage 2 students. I use Skype, Zoom, Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams for my lessons. I am very enthusiastic in my approach. I tailor lessons to suit each individual student’s needs and preferences. I firmly believe anyone has the capacity to learn a language. From personal experience, the ability to talk and write in a foreign language is incredibly rewarding. It is also a highly-required skill in a world where for many businesses and communities, global communication has become a necessity.

I am also a fully qualified and accredited TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) tutor with a specialism in exam preparation, and offer one-to-one English lessons via Skype or Zoom. I am qualified to teach English to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. However, I am particularly interested in teaching advanced level learners (Level B2-C1 of the European Language Framework) who are studying towards the Academic or General IELTS exam, or the TOEIC exam in order to work or study in the UK. I assist with all aspects of exam preparation.
